The Euloc® is a simple, minimal invasive system for the treatment of displaced radius and ulna fractures with moderate degree of comminution.

The basic principle is that of intra focal Kapandji pinning i.e. the distal fragment is supported by pins inserted through the fracture line into the proximal fragment of the radius.

The original method has been modified and improved with the Euloc:

  • Pins are inserted into the medullary canal of the proximal fragment
  • Pins are pre shaped to fit the natural shape of the bone
  • Screw fixation through double eyelets

Indications of the Euloc Wrist Fixation System

  • Dorsally displaced bending fractures
  • Dorsally/radially displaced bending fractures with or without dorsal comminution
  • Dorsally displaced bending fractures with undisplaced intra articular fragment
  • Displaced distal ulna fractures

Additional fixation is required if there is:

  • Instability of the volar cortex
    • Volar displacement
    • Volar cortex comminution
    • Severe shortening
  • Intra articular comminution (displaced)
