The Hammer Fix ll external radius fixation system offers an easy-to-use, lightweight frame that permits full reduction of the fracture fragments without compromising stability, thus providing the surgeon with a complete fixator system for both simple and complex fracture.

Hammer pins

The Hammer Pins are three millimeter in diameter and made from stainless steel 316 LVM. The Hammer Pins are self drilling and self tapping which offers significant advantages over traditional pins:

 

– A Hammer pin work as a new sharp drill when inserted, reducing insertion temperature.
– No need for predrilling, reducing operative time.
– Short cutting tip, reducing the risk of soft tissue damage.
– Non-conical core, allowing the pin to be moved backwards and still maintain fixation.

 

Reusable

The Hammer Fix II has been designed as a reuseable system,
however the number of times which a fixator can be reused is
a decision that can only be made by the surgeon. There were
no permanent deformities detectable in any part of the
system in extended loading tests with all screws tightened
and the system securely locked for five weeks.
