The PyroSphere prosthesis (PCS) is made of PyroCarbon, a material with high degree of biocompatibility and resistance against wear and fatigue. The spherical PCS prosthesis is designed for patients who have arthritis affecting the CMC joint and is available in 5 different sizes. The prosthesis could be used when the cartilage is damaged on both sides of the CMC joint.
