Ascension PIP
Introduction
The PIP prosthesis is made of PyroCarbon, a material with high degree of biocompatibility and resistance against wear and fatigue. The anatomical form of the prosthesis restores the biomechanics of the PIP joint and the color coded instrument set ensures precise and repetitive surgeries. The PIP prosthesis is available in 4 sizes for the proximal and the distal component. However, it’s possible to mix different sizes, one size up or down, to meet the anatomical variances for different patients.

Universal Awl and Alignment Guides
The intramedullary alignment awl accepts a uniquely designed parallel external alignment guide providing an accurate visual alignment reference along the bone axis.
Precise, Captured-Blade Cutting Guides
Mounted on either the alignment awls or broaches, the dedicated metacarpal and phalangeal cutting guides are easily aligned and provide the initial resections. The osteotomy is completed by removing the guide and following the plane established by the guided cut.
