What is the Upper Extremity Course?

This session is a joint venture between Swemac Education and Lars Adolfsson, MD Associate Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, Linköping University Hospital, Sweden. It was developed for the hand and orthopaedic surgeon focusing on current concepts and advanced approaches to distal radius and elbow fractures.

 

Leading experts will instruct meeting attendees in the form of lectures and hands-on workshops. This two days course will cover topics including:

 

– Identification and dissection of the nerves in the elbow and forearm
– Forearm fractures and distal radius fractures
– Associated fractures and soft tissue injuries around the wrist
– Soft tissue lesions (trauma) around the elbow
– Elbow fractures

Lab time, surgery demonstrations and in-depth lectures, will provide an enriched learning environment for meeting attendees.

 

Each topic will be presented by a speaker with extensive clinical experience. Attendees are encouraged to share their clinical experiences to gain knowledge from the speakers and other meeting attendees. The Upper Extremity Course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview and to address challenges associated with upper extremity surgery, and provide attendees with valuable information to incorporate into their practice.
