Swemac history

 

1968 - Saab Aircraft starts a new business area called medical technology

 

1985 - Saab constitutes Swemac Ltd.

 

1991 - Henrik Hansson begins working at Swemac Orthopaedics. The fist product is the Hansson Pin System, developed by Henrik's father Lars Ingvar Hansson.

 

1997 - The Hansson Family buys the Swemac division that contains medical implants

 

2003 - Swemac Aps is established in Denmark

 

2004 - Swemac AS is established in Norway

 

The Hansson Pin

The Hansson Pin System was designed by the late professor Lars Ingvar Hansson for the treatment of slipped capital femoral epiphyses in children and for femoral neck fractures.
